ViewSonic VX924 vs Westinghouse LCM-17V8 tft monitor shopping reviews
ViewSonic VX924 have larger screen (19") than Westinghouse LCM-17V8 (17").
On both VX924 and LCM-17V8 there is maximum screen resolution of 1280x1024.
These monitors aren't wide - they have aspect 4:3.
Pixel response on monitors is 3ms for VX924 and 8ms for LCM-17V8 - they have good pixel response times.
Westinghouse LCM-17V8 can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but ViewSonic VX924 cannot since its brightness is 270 cd/m2.
Contrast ratio is quite poor on these TFT monitors (550:1 on VX924 and 450:1 on LCM-17V8).
Only ViewSonic VX924 has VGA input so you can connect it to older video cards.
DVI input which these monitors have allows you to use with newer video cards.
