ViewSonic VX2235wm vs Westinghouse LCM-17V8 lcd monitor shopping reviews

We prefere more 22" screen size on ViewSonic VX2235wm than 17" screen size on Westinghouse LCM-17V8. Graphic professionals might find ViewSonic VX2235wm model with its 1680x1050 maximum screen resulution more preferable.

These monitors have decent response times (with 5ms on VX2235wm and 8ms on LCM-17V8).

Only Westinghouse LCM-17V8 is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), ViewSonic VX2235wm has brightness 280 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 700:1 on ViewSonic VX2235wm which is good. But Westinghouse LCM-17V8 has contrast ratio only 450:1.

Due to lack of VGA input, you cannot connect Westinghouse LCM-17V8 to older computers. Presence of DVI allows you to connect these monitors to newer video cards.
