ViewSonic ThinEdge VP930B vs Westinghouse LCM-17v2 tft monitor shopping review
We liked 19" monitor size on ViewSonic ThinEdge VP930B quite better than 17" monitor size at Westinghouse LCM-17v2.
On both ThinEdge VP930B and LCM-17v2 there is maximum screen resolution of 1280x1024.
These monitors aren't wide - they have aspect 4:3.
Westinghouse LCM-17v2 has 14ms pixel response time and ViewSonic ThinEdge VP930B has 20ms. That means that on both you might see so called "ghosts" when scrolling text which is unpleasant to human eye.
Picture can be really bright only at LCM-17v2 (luminance is 350 cd/m2) and it cannot be so bright at ThinEdge VP930B (luminance is 250 cd/m2).
Contrast is 1000:1 on ViewSonic ThinEdge VP930B which is good. But Westinghouse LCM-17v2 has contrast ratio only 350:1.
These LCD monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards.
Presence of DVI allows you to connect ViewSonic ThinEdge VP930B with some newer video cards.
