ViewSonic VX924 vs Samsung SyncMaster 971P lcd monitor comparison

Both VX924 and SyncMaster 971P have 19" screen size. The same on both TFT monitors is maximum screen resolution - 1280x1024.

These monitors have decent response times of their pixels (with 3ms on VX924 and 6ms on SyncMaster 971P).

Since VX924 has brightness 270cd/m2 and SyncMaster 971P has brightness 250cd/m2, therefore we can conclude that these monitors are NOT able to privide very bright picture . Only Samsung SyncMaster 971P has good contrast ratio (1500:1). ViewSonic VX924 has contrast ratio of 550:1. These tft monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent horizontal viewing angles (SyncMaster 971P has 178º and VX924 has 160º). Both monitors have good viewable vertical angle (178º at SyncMaster 971P and 160º at VX924) so they are quite confortable for watching movies.

These tft monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to modern video cards.
