ViewSonic VX924 vs Acer AL1916W lcd monitor comparison

On both models screen size is 19". For people who likes higher screen resolutions, 1440x900 on AL1916W might be more preferable than 1280x1024 on VX924.

Both monitors have good response times of their pixels (ViewSonic VX924 has 3ms and Acer AL1916W has 8ms pixel response time).

Picture on AL1916W could be very bright (300 cd/m2), but we cannot say the same for VX924 (270cd/m2) These tft monitors don't have decent constrast ratio. Contrast ratio of ViewSonic VX924 is 550:1 and Acer AL1916W has 500:1. Horizontal angle is 160º on VX924 and 150 ºon AL1916W and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. These tft monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent vertical viewing angles (VX924 has 160º and AL1916W has 130º).

Both monitors have VGA input so you can connect them to older graphic cards. DVI input which ViewSonic VX924 monitor has allows you to use it on modern graphic cards.
