ViewSonic VX2235wm vs Acer AL1706AB lcd monitor comparison
We liked 22" monitor size on ViewSonic VX2235wm quite better than 17" monitor size at Acer AL1706AB.
Maximum declared screen resolution on VX2235wm (1680x1050) beats AL1706AB (1280x1024).
Both monitors have good response times of their pixels (ViewSonic VX2235wm has 5ms and Acer AL1706AB has 8ms pixel response time).
Since VX2235wm has brightness 280cd/m2 and AL1706AB has brightness 270cd/m2, therefore we can conclude that these monitors are NOT able to privide very bright picture .
Only ViewSonic VX2235wm has good contrast ratio (700:1). Acer AL1706AB has contrast ratio of 500:1.
Horizontal viewing angle is bad on both monitors (170º at ViewSonic VX2235wm and 140º at Acer AL1706AB) for watching movies.
These tft monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent vertical viewing angles (VX2235wm has 160º and AL1706AB has 130º).
Both of these monitors have VGA input jack for connection to older graphic cards.
ViewSonic VX2235wm has DVI needed by some new graphic cards.
