ViewSonic VA912b vs Acer AL1916Ab lcd monitor comparison
On both models screen size is 19". On both VA912b and AL1916Ab there is maximum screen resolution of 1280x1024. These monitors have good response time 8 ms. Acer AL1916Ab can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but ViewSonic VA912b cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 700:1 on Acer AL1916Ab which is good. But ViewSonic VA912b has contrast ratio only 500:1. These tft monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (VA912b has 160º and AL1916Ab has 140º). Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at VA912b and 140º at AL1916Ab) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies. These lcd monitors have VGA input which you will need to connect them to older computer which don't have DVI input. ViewSonic VA912b has DVI needed by some new graphic cards. More Information
