Samsung 920N vs Samsung SyncMaster 940MW lcd monitor review

Samsung 920N and Samsung SyncMaster 940MW have same 19" screen size. Maximum declared screen resolution on SyncMaster 940MW (1440x900) beats 920N (1280x1024).

These LCD monitors have decent response times of pixels (8 ms).

Samsung SyncMaster 940MW can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Samsung 920N cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Both monitors have contrast of 700:1 and that is very good contrast ratio. Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º) for watching movies . Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º) for watching movies on them.

These TFT monitors have VGA input which you will need to connect them to older computer which don't have DVI input. Presence of DVI allows you to connect Samsung SyncMaster 940MW with some new video cards. Advantage of Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is existance of TV tuner.
