Samsung SyncMaster 971P vs Westinghouse LCM-17V8 tft monitor reviews
We liked 19" monitor on Samsung SyncMaster 971P significantly better than 17" monitor size at Westinghouse LCM-17V8. Both tft monitors have maximum declared screen resolution 1280x1024. Pixel response time on monitors is 6ms for SyncMaster 971P and 8ms for LCM-17V8 and that means they have nice pixel response times. Only Westinghouse LCM-17V8 is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Samsung SyncMaster 971P has brightness 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 1500:1 on Samsung SyncMaster 971P which is good. But Westinghouse LCM-17V8 has contrast only 450:1. Westinghouse LCM-17V8 doesn't have VGA input which you will need to connect them to older computers. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to newer graphic cards. More Information
