Samsung SyncMaster 940MW vs Westinghouse LCM-17v2 lcd monitor shopping review

Screen size at Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is quite larger with its 19" than Westinghouse LCM-17v2 with 17". Graphic professionals might find Samsung SyncMaster 940MW model with its 1440x900 maximum screen resulution more preferable.

You shall not have ghost feeling scrolling on Samsung SyncMaster 940MW due to its pixel response time of 8ms, but we cannot say the same for Westinghouse LCM-17v2 since its pixel response time is 14ms.

These monitors are able to produce very bright picture (LCM-17v2 has luminance 350cd/m2 and SyncMaster 940MW has 300cd/m2). Contrast ratio is 700:1 on Samsung SyncMaster 940MW which is good. But Westinghouse LCM-17v2 has contrast ratio only 350:1.

These monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards. DVI input which has Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is its adventage. Advantage of Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is existance of TV tuner.
