Samsung SyncMaster 940BW vs Westinghouse LCM-19v5 tft monitor shopping comparison

The same 19" screen size is on both Samsung SyncMaster 940BW and Westinghouse LCM-19v5. Samsung SyncMaster 940BW lcd monitor have finer maximum screen resolution(1440x900) than other lcd monitor(1280x1024).

These monitors have good response times.

Only Samsung SyncMaster 940BW is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Westinghouse LCM-19v5 has brightness 280 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is poor on these TFT monitors (500:1 on SyncMaster 940BW and 400:1 on LCM-19v5).

These LCD monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards. Both monitors have DVI input which allows you to connect them to modern video cards.
