Samsung SyncMaster 931B vs Westinghouse LCM-17v2 tft monitor review

We like more Samsung SyncMaster 931B 19" inch screen than Westinghouse LCM-17v2's 17" size. On both SyncMaster 931B and LCM-17v2 there is maximum screen resolution of 1280x1024.

Both LCD monitors have standard (4:3) aspect ratio. Samsung SyncMaster 931B has good response time of pixels (8ms), but that is not case with Westinghouse LCM-17v2 since pixels response time is 14ms.

These LCD monitors can provide very bright picture (LCM-17v2 has luminance 350cd/m2 and SyncMaster 931B has 300cd/m2). Only Samsung SyncMaster 931B has good contrast (700:1). Westinghouse LCM-17v2 has contrast ratio of 350:1.

Both of these monitors have VGA input jack for connection to older video cards. Only Samsung SyncMaster 931B has DVI input which allows you to connect it to new graphic cards. Notable advantages of these LCD monitors are : built in 2.5-watt speakers for Westinghouse LCM-17v2 and for Samsung SyncMaster 931B.
