Samsung SyncMaster 225BW vs Westinghouse LCM-17V8 tft monitor reviews

Samsung SyncMaster 225BW's monitor screen with its 22" we like more than 17" screen at Westinghouse LCM-17V8. Samsung SyncMaster 225BW lcd monitor have finer maximum screen resolution(1680x1050) than other lcd monitor(1280x1024).

These monitors have decent response times (with 5ms on SyncMaster 225BW and 8ms on LCM-17V8).

Since LCM-17V8 has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than SyncMaster 225BW which has luminance 280cd/m2. SyncMaster 225BW has good contrast ratio (700:1) but that is not the case with LCM-17V8 (450:1).

Due to lack of VGA input, you cannot connect Westinghouse LCM-17V8 to older computers. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to modern video cards.
