Samsung 920N vs Westinghouse LCM-17v2 lcd monitor shopping review
We like more Samsung 920N 19" inch screen than Westinghouse LCM-17v2's 17" size. Both of compared LCD monitors : Samsung 920N and Westinghouse LCM-17v2 have the same maximum screen resolution (1280x1024). 8 has decent pixels response time (8 ms) but that isn't the case with Westinghouse LCM-17v2 since it has 14ms. Since LCM-17v2 has luminance 350cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than 920N which has luminance 250cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 700:1 on Samsung 920N which is good. But Westinghouse LCM-17v2 has contrast only 350:1. Both of these monitors have VGA input jack for connection to older graphic cards. No model has DVI input so you cannot connect them to modern video cards. Special adventages of these monitors are : built in 2.5-watt speakers for Westinghouse LCM-17v2 and for Samsung 920N.
