Picture on VA1912wb could be very bright (300 cd/m2), but we cannot say the same for SyncMaster 971P (250cd/m2) Only Samsung SyncMaster 971P has good contrast ratio (1500:1). ViewSonic VA1912wb has contrast ratio of 500:1. Horizontal angle is 178º on SyncMaster 971P and 160 ºon VA1912wb and those values makes them suitable for watching movies. These LCD monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent vertical viewing angles (SyncMaster 971P has 178º and VA1912wb has 160º).
