Samsung SyncMaster 940BW vs ViewSonic VP2330wb lcd monitor shopping review

We prefere 23 inch wide screen size at model VP2330wb than 19 built at model SyncMaster 940BW. ViewSonic VP2330wb lcd monitor have finer maximum screen resolution(1920x1200) than other lcd monitor(1440x900).

Both monitors are wide since the aspect ratio on SyncMaster 940BW is 16:9 and on VP2330wb is 16:10. These monitors have decent response times (with 4ms on SyncMaster 940BW and 8ms on VP2330wb).

Picture can be really bright only at SyncMaster 940BW (luminance is 300 cd/m2) and it cannot be so bright at VP2330wb (luminance is 250 cd/m2). VP2330wb has good contrast ratio (800:1) but that is not the case with SyncMaster 940BW (500:1). These LCD monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (VP2330wb has 170º and SyncMaster 940BW has 160º). Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (170º at VP2330wb and 160º at SyncMaster 940BW) so they aren't confortable for watching movies.

Presence of DVI allows you to connect these monitors to modern video cards.
