Samsung SyncMaster 940BW vs ViewSonic VA912b lcd monitor shopping review
The same 19" screen size is on both Samsung SyncMaster 940BW and ViewSonic VA912b. With its declared 1440x900 maximum screen resolution Samsung SyncMaster 940BW monitor beats ViewSonic VA912b with its 1280x1024. These TFT monitors have good response times. Since SyncMaster 940BW has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than VA912b which has luminance 250cd/m2. These monitors don't have decent constrast ratio. Their contrast ratio is 500:1 and that is quite poor value. These monitors are poot for watching tv or movies on them since they have horizontal viewing angle of 160º. Vertical angle is 160º on both and therefore you might feel unconfortable watching movies on them. These TFT monitors have VGA input for connection to older graphic cards. Both monitors have DVI input which allows you to connect them to newer video cards. More Information
