Samsung SyncMaster 740N vs ViewSonic VX2235wm lcd monitor review

We prefere more 22" screen size on ViewSonic VX2235wm than 17" screen size on Samsung SyncMaster 740N. ViewSonic VX2235wm lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1680x1050, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Samsung SyncMaster 740N.

These monitors have decent response times of their pixels (with 5ms on VX2235wm and 8ms on SyncMaster 740N).

Picture can be really bright only at SyncMaster 740N (luminance is 300 cd/m2) and it cannot be so bright at VX2235wm (luminance is 280 cd/m2). These monitors have good contrast (VX2235wm has 700:1 and SyncMaster 740N has 600:1). Horizontal angle is 170º on VX2235wm and 160 ºon SyncMaster 740N and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º) for watching movies on them.

ViewSonic VX2235wm has DVI needed by some modern graphic cards.
