Samsung SyncMaster 731BF vs ViewSonic VA912b tft monitor shopping comparison

We liked 19" monitor on ViewSonic VA912b significantly better than 17" monitor size at Samsung SyncMaster 731BF. Both tft monitors have maximum declared screen resolution 1280x1024.

Aspect ratio on these monitors is 4:3 and that means they aren't wide. These LCD monitors have good response times.

Samsung SyncMaster 731BF can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but ViewSonic VA912b cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 2000:1 on Samsung SyncMaster 731BF which is good. But ViewSonic VA912b has contrast only 500:1.

These TFT monitors have DVI input for connection .
