Samsung SyncMaster 204BW vs ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2 lcd monitor shopping review

We liked 20" monitor size on Samsung SyncMaster 204BW quite better than 19" monitor size at ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2. Graphic professionals might find Samsung SyncMaster 204BW model with its 1680x1050 maximum screen resulution more preferable.

These LCD monitors have good response times.

Both monitors are able to privide very bright picture (300 cd/m2). These monitors have good contrast (contrast of 700:1). Horizontal angle is 160º on SyncMaster 204BW and 150 ºon Optiquest Q9b-2 and those values makes them unsuitable for watching TV. These LCD monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't good vertical viewing angles (SyncMaster 204BW has 160º and Optiquest Q9b-2 has 135º).

These LCD monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards. Only Samsung SyncMaster 204BW has DVI input which allows you to connect it to newer video cards.
