Samsung SyncMaster 204B vs ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2 lcd monitor reviews
We think 20.1 inch screen at Samsung SyncMaster 204B is better than 19 inches screen at Optiquest Q9b-2. For people who likes higher screen resolutions, 1600x1200 on SyncMaster 204B might be more preferable than 1280x1024 on Optiquest Q9b-2. Pixel response on these monitors is 5ms for SyncMaster 204B and 8ms for Optiquest Q9b-2 and that means they have nice pixel response times. With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these monitors can provide very bright picture. These monitors have good contrast (SyncMaster 204B has 800:1 and Optiquest Q9b-2 has 700:1). These monitors are poor for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (SyncMaster 204B has 160º and Optiquest Q9b-2 has 150º). Verical angle is 160º on SyncMaster 204B and 135 ºon Optiquest Q9b-2 and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Samsung SyncMaster 204B has DVI needed by some modern video cards.
