Samsung 920N vs ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2 lcd monitor shopping reviews

The same 19" screen size is on both Samsung 920N and ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2. Maximum screen resolution (1280x1024) is same on both TFT monitors.

Pixel response time on these monitors is 8ms and you should not expirience so called "ghosts" .

ViewSonic Optiquest Q9b-2 can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Samsung 920N cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio on both monitor is 700:1 and that is good value. These TFT monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (920N has 160º and Optiquest Q9b-2 has 150º). Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at 920N and 135º at Optiquest Q9b-2) so they aren't confortable for watching movies.

These LCD monitors have VGA input for connection to older graphic cards. Disadvantage of both is lack of DVI input for connection to some newer graphic cards.
