Samsung SyncMaster 971P vs NEC 90GX2-BK lcd monitor comparison

The same 19" screen size is on both Samsung SyncMaster 971P and NEC 90GX2-BK. Both tft monitors have maximum declared screen resolution 1280x1024.

Both monitors have good response times of their pixels (NEC 90GX2-BK has 4ms and Samsung SyncMaster 971P has 6ms pixel response time).

Since 90GX2-BK has luminance 400cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than SyncMaster 971P which has luminance 250cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 1500:1 on SyncMaster 971P and 700:1 on 90GX2-BK and that is quite good value for constrast.

Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to modern video cards.
