Samsung SyncMaster 203B vs HP L1706 lcd monitor comparison
We liked 20" monitor size on Samsung SyncMaster 203B quite better than 17" monitor size at HP L1706.
Maximum declared screen resolution on SyncMaster 203B (1400x1050) beats L1706 (1280x1024).
8 has decent pixels response time (8 ms) but that is not the case with HP L1706 since it has 12ms.
Both monitors are able to privide very bright picture (300 cd/m2).
Only Samsung SyncMaster 203B has good contrast ratio (600:1). HP L1706 has contrast ratio of 500:1.
Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º at SyncMaster 203B and 140º at L1706) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies.

These tft monitors have VGA input for connection to older video cards.
Only Samsung SyncMaster 203B has DVI input which allows you to connect it to some new video cards.
