Samsung SyncMaster 971P vs Gateway FDP1975W lcd monitor comparison

Both SyncMaster 971P and FDP1975W have 19" screen size. Gateway FDP1975W lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1440x900, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Samsung SyncMaster 971P.

These monitors have good response times.

Only Gateway FDP1975W is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Samsung SyncMaster 971P has brightness 250 cd/m2. These monitors have good contrast (SyncMaster 971P has 1500:1 and FDP1975W has 700:1).
