Samsung SyncMaster 970P vs Gateway FDP1975W lcd monitor comparison

Samsung SyncMaster 970P and Gateway FDP1975W have same 19" screen size. If you like higher screen resolutions than you might decide that Gateway FDP1975W is better with its 1440x900 than Samsung SyncMaster 970P with 1280x1024.

These monitors have good response times.

Gateway FDP1975W can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Samsung SyncMaster 970P cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 1000:1 on SyncMaster 970P and 700:1 on FDP1975W and that is quite good value for constrast.
