Samsung 920N vs Gateway FDP2185W lcd monitor comparison

We prefere 21 inch wide screen size at model FDP2185W than 19 built at model 920N. Gateway FDP2185W lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1680x1050, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Samsung 920N.

Both LCD monitors have good response times of their pixels (8ms).

Picture on FDP2185W could be very bright (300 cd/m2), but we cannot say the same for 920N (250cd/m2) Contrast ratio is very good on these tft monitors (FDP2185W has 1000:1 and 920N has 700:1). Horizontal viewing angle is good on both monitors (178º at Gateway FDP2185W and 160º at Samsung 920N) for watching movies. These tft monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent vertical viewing angles (FDP2185W has 178º and 920N has 160º).

Gateway FDP2185W has DVI needed by some new graphic cards.
