Samsung SyncMaster 970P vs Apple M9177LL lcd monitor comparison
We liked 20" monitor size on Apple M9177LL quite better than 19" monitor size at Samsung SyncMaster 970P. Maximum declared screen resolution on M9177LL (1680x1050) beats SyncMaster 970P (1280x1024). When scrolling text on Apple M9177LL you might expirience so called ghosts since its pixels response time is 16ms. Both monitors have brightness 250cd/m2 and that isn't very good value so we can say that they cannot have really bright picture. Contrast ratio is 1000:1 on Samsung SyncMaster 970P which is good. But Apple M9177LL has contrast ratio only 400:1. Horizontal viewing angle is good on both monitors (178º at Samsung SyncMaster 970P and 170º at Apple M9177LL) for watching movies. Both monitors have good viewable vertical angle (178º at SyncMaster 970P and 170º at M9177LL) so they are quite confortable for watching movies. Since Apple M9177LL doesn't have VGA input, you can not connect it to some older computers. DVI input which these monitors have allows you to use with modern video cards. More Information
