Samsung 920N vs Apple M9178LL/A lcd monitor comparison

Screen size on Apple M9178LL/A is larger, 23" comparing to 19" on Samsung 920N. Apple M9178LL/A lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1920x1200, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Samsung 920N.

8 has decent pixels response time (8 ms) but that is not the case with Apple M9178LL/A since it has 16ms.

These monitors are not able to produce quite bright picture (M9178LL/A has luminance 270cd/m2 and 920N has 250cd/m2). Contrast ratio is very good only on Samsung 920N (700:1), the another model has poor contrast ratio (400:1). Horizontal angle is 170º on M9178LL/A and 160 ºon 920N and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (170º at M9178LL/A and 160º at 920N) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies.

If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Apple M9178LL/A isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input. Only Apple M9178LL/A has DVI input which allows you to connect it to some new video cards.
