Samsung SyncMaster 970P vs Acer AL1706AB lcd monitor comparison
We think 19 inch screen at Samsung SyncMaster 970P is better than 17 inches screen size at AL1706AB. The same on both TFT monitors is maximum screen resolution - 1280x1024. These monitors have decent response times of their pixels. Since AL1706AB has brightness 270cd/m2 and SyncMaster 970P has brightness 250cd/m2, therefore we can conclude that these monitors are NOT able to privide very bright picture . SyncMaster 970P has good contrast ratio (1000:1) but that is not the case with AL1706AB (500:1). Horizontal viewing angle is good on both monitors (178º at Samsung SyncMaster 970P and 140º at Acer AL1706AB) for watching movies. Both monitors have good viewable vertical angle (178º at SyncMaster 970P and 130º at AL1706AB) so they are quite confortable for watching movies.
