Samsung SyncMaster 204BW vs Acer AL1706AB lcd monitor comparison
Screen size on Samsung SyncMaster 204BW is larger, 20" comparing to 17" on Acer AL1706AB. Samsung SyncMaster 204BW lcd monitor have finer maximum screen resolution(1680x1050) than other lcd monitor(1280x1024). These monitors have decent response times of their pixels. Only Samsung SyncMaster 204BW is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Acer AL1706AB has brightness 270 cd/m2. SyncMaster 204BW has good contrast ratio (700:1) but that is not the case with AL1706AB (500:1). These tft monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (SyncMaster 204BW has 160º and AL1706AB has 140º). Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at SyncMaster 204BW and 130º at AL1706AB) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies.
