Both models have the same 19" screen size. Maximum screen resulution on Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is 1440x900, which might prefer graphic experts rather than 1280x1024 on Mag LT917GB. Both LCD monitors have good response times of their pixels (8ms). The picture on this TFT monitors can be very bright since luminance is 400cd/m2 at LT917GB and 300cd/m2 at SyncMaster 940MW. Contrast ratio is very good only on Samsung SyncMaster 940MW (700:1), the another model has poor contrast (500:1). DVI input which has Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is its adventage.
