Both L194WT and SyncMaster 971P have 19" screen size. With its declared 1440x900 maximum screen resolution LG L194WT monitor beats Samsung SyncMaster 971P with its 1280x1024. Both monitors have good response times (LG L194WT has 5ms and Samsung SyncMaster 971P has 6ms pixel response time). LG L194WT can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Samsung SyncMaster 971P cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2.
