Both models have the same 19" screen size. Both of compared TFT monitors : LG L1932TQ and Samsung SyncMaster 970P have the same maximum screen resolution (1280x1024). Both of compared LCD monitors have decent pixel response times. Picture on L1932TQ could be very bright (300 cd/m2), but we cannot say the same for SyncMaster 970P (250cd/m2) Contrast ratio is 1400:1 on L1932TQ and 1000:1 on SyncMaster 970P and that is significantly good value for contrast.
