HP L1706 vs Samsung SyncMaster 204B lcd monitor shopping reviews
Samsung SyncMaster 204B's monitor screen with its 20.1" we like more than 17" screen at HP L1706. If you like higher screen resolutions than you might decide that Samsung SyncMaster 204B is better with 1600x1200 than HP L1706 with 1280x1024. Decent response time has only Samsung SyncMaster 204B with 5ms. HP L1706 haven't good pixel response time with 12ms. With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these TFT monitors can provide very bright picture. Only Samsung SyncMaster 204B has good contrast ratio (800:1). HP L1706 has contrast of 500:1. Horizontal viewing angle is bad on both monitors (160º at Samsung SyncMaster 204B and 140º at HP L1706) for watching TV. These LCD monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't nice vertical viewing angles (SyncMaster 204B has 160º and L1706 has 130º).
