Gateway FDP2185W vs Samsung SyncMaster 971P lcd monitor review
Gateway FDP2185W's monitor screen with 21" we like more than 19" screen at Samsung SyncMaster 971P. Maximum declared screen resolution on FDP2185W (1680x1050) beats SyncMaster 971P (1280x1024). Both of compared LCD monitors have decent pixel response times. Only Gateway FDP2185W is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Samsung SyncMaster 971P has brightness 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is very good on these tft monitors (SyncMaster 971P has 1500:1 and FDP2185W has 1000:1). Both LCD monitors have good viewable horizontal angle (178º) so it's confortable to watch movies on them.
