Screen size at Gateway FDP2185W is quite larger with its 21" than LG L194WT with 19". With its declared 1680x1050 maximum screen resolution Gateway FDP2185W monitor beats LG L194WT with 1440x900. Both of compared TFT monitors are wide. These monitors have good response times. Both monitors are able to privide very bright picture (300 cd/m2). Contrast is very good on these tft monitors (L194WT has 2000:1 and FDP2185W has 1000:1). Disadvantage of LG L194WT is lack of VGA input for connection to some older graphic cards.
