Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP have larger screen (30") than ViewSonic VA912b (19").
Graphic professionals might find Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP model with its 2560x1600 maximum screen resulution more preferable.
Both of compared monitors have decent pixel response times (8 ms).
Since UltraSharp 3007WFP has luminance 400cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than VA912b which has luminance 250cd/m2.
UltraSharp 3007WFP has good contrast (700:1) but that is not the case with VA912b (500:1).
Horizontal viewing angle is nice on both monitors (178º at Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP and 160º at ViewSonic VA912b) for watching movies.
Both monitors have good viewable vertical angle (178º at UltraSharp 3007WFP and 160º at VA912b) so they are quite confortable for watching movies.
If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input.
