Screen size on Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP is larger, 24" comparing to 19" on Samsung SyncMaster 970P. Maximum declared screen resolution on UltraSharp 2407WFP (1920x1200) beats SyncMaster 970P (1280x1024). Pixel response time on these monitors is 6ms and that means you should not expirience so called "ghosts" . Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP can produce very bright picture (450 cd/m2), but Samsung SyncMaster 970P cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is good on these monitors (1000:1 on both). These TFT monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies because they have good horizontal viewing angle of 178º.
