Dell E176FP vs Samsung 920N lcd monitor shopping comparison
Samsung 920N's monitor screen with 19" we like more than 17" screen at Dell E176FP. Both of compared TFT monitors : Dell E176FP and Samsung 920N have the same maximum screen resolution (1280x1024). Decent response time has only Samsung 920N with 8ms. Dell E176FP haven't good pixel response time with 12ms. Dell E176FP can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Samsung 920N cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 700:1 on Samsung 920N which is good. But Dell E176FP has contrast ratio only 450:1. Horizontal viewing angle is bad on both monitors (160º at Samsung 920N and 120º at Dell E176FP) for watching TV. Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at 920N and 140º at E176FP) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies. These LCD monitors have VGA input for connection to older graphic cards. It is bad that these monitors cannot be connected to new graphic cards since they don't have DVI. More Information
