Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP vs Apple M9178LL/A lcd monitor comparison
We liked 24" monitor size on Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP quite better than 23" monitor size at Apple M9178LL/A. Both of compared TFT monitors : Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP and Apple M9178LL/A have the same maximum screen resolution (1920x1200). Both monitors are wide. Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP has aspect ratio 16:10 and Apple M9178LL/A has 16:9. Decent response time has only Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP with 6ms. Apple M9178LL/A haven't good pixel response time with its 16ms. Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP can produce very bright picture (450 cd/m2), but Apple M9178LL/A cannot since its brightness is 270 cd/m2. Only Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP has good contrast ratio (1000:1). Apple M9178LL/A has contrast ratio of 400:1. These tft monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent horizontal viewing angles (UltraSharp 2407WFP has 178º and M9178LL/A has 170º). Vertical viewing angle is good on both monitors (178º at Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP and 170º at Apple M9178LL/A) for watching movies. If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Apple M9178LL/A isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input. DVI input which these monitors have allows you to use with modern video cards. Advantage of Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP is existance of TV tuner. More Information
