Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 2560x1600, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Acer AL1706AB.
Pixel response time on these monitors is 8ms and that means you should not expirience so called "ghosts" on them.
Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP can produce very bright picture (400 cd/m2), but Acer AL1706AB cannot since its brightness is 270 cd/m2.
UltraSharp 3007WFP has good contrast ratio (700:1) but that is not the case with AL1706AB (500:1).
These tft monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent horizontal viewing angles (UltraSharp 3007WFP has 178º and AL1706AB has 140º).
