Apple M9178LL/A vs ViewSonic VP2330wb tft monitor shopping review

Apple M9178LL/A and ViewSonic VP2330wb have same 23" screen size. Maximum declared screen resolution (1920x1200) is on both LCD monitors in this comparison.

Both LCD monitors are wide. Decent response time has only ViewSonic VP2330wb with 8ms. Apple M9178LL/A haven't good pixel response time with 16ms.

Since M9178LL/A has brightness 270cd/m2 and VP2330wb has brightness 250cd/m2, therefore we can conclude that monitors are NOT able to privide very bright picture . Only ViewSonic VP2330wb has good contrast ratio (800:1). Apple M9178LL/A has contrast ratio of 400:1. Horizontal angle is 170º on both and therefore you might feel unconfortable watching movies on them. Vertical viewing angle is poor on both (170º).

Due to lack of VGA input, you cannot connect Apple M9178LL/A to older computers. Both monitors have DVI input which allows you to connect them to modern video cards.
