You shall not have ghost feeling when scrolling on ViewSonic VG2021M due to its pixel response time of 8ms, but we cannot say the same for Apple M9178LL/A since pixel response time is 16ms.
Since VG2021M has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than M9178LL/A which has luminance 270cd/m2.
Both TFT monitors have poor contrast (VG2021M has 500:1 and M9178LL/A has 400:1).
Horizontal angle is 170º on both and therefore you might feel unconfortable watching movies .
Vertical viewing angle is bad on both monitors (170º at Apple M9178LL/A and 155º at ViewSonic VG2021M) for watching movies.
If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Apple M9178LL/A isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input.
