Apple M9177LL vs Samsung SyncMaster 204B lcd monitor reviews
We think that SyncMaster 204B has better screen with 20.1" inch size than M9177LL with 20" large screen. Apple M9177LL lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1680x1050, in contrast to 1600x1200 at Samsung SyncMaster 204B. When scrolling text on Apple M9177LL you might expirience ghosts because pixels response time is 16ms. Since SyncMaster 204B has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than M9177LL which has luminance 250cd/m2. Only Samsung SyncMaster 204B has good contrast ratio (800:1). Apple M9177LL has contrast ratio of 400:1. Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (170º at M9177LL and 160º at SyncMaster 204B) so they aren't confortable for watching movies. Verical angle is 170º on M9177LL and 160 ºon SyncMaster 204B and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Apple M9177LL doesn't have VGA input which you will need to connect them to older computers. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to modern graphic cards. More Information
