Apple M9177LL vs NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 tft monitor review
We prefere more 20.1" screen size on NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 than 20" screen size on Apple M9177LL. Maximum declared screen resolution (1680x1050) is on both TFT monitors in this comparison. Both TFT monitors are wide (16:9 is aspect ratio). NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 has good response time of its pixels (6ms), but that is not case with Apple M9177LL since pixels response time is 16ms. NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 can produce very bright picture (470 cd/m2), but Apple M9177LL cannot since its brightness is 250 cd/m2. Only NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 has good contrast ratio (1600:1). Apple M9177LL has contrast ratio of 400:1. Only NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 has VGA input so you can connect it to some older graphic cards. Presence of DVI allows you to connect these monitors to modern graphic cards. Advantage of NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 is existance of TV tuner. More Information
