Apple M9177LL vs Gateway FDP1760 lcd monitor comparison

Screen size on Apple M9177LL is larger, 20" comparing to 17" on Gateway FDP1760. If you like higher screen resolutions than you might decide that Apple M9177LL is better with its 1680x1050 than Gateway FDP1760 with 1280x1024.

You shall not have ghost feeling scrolling on Gateway FDP1760 due to pixel response time of 8ms, but we cannot say the same for Apple M9177LL since its pixel response time is 16ms.

These monitors are not able to produce quite bright picture (FDP1760 has luminance 270cd/m2 and M9177LL has 250cd/m2). Contrast ratio is very good only on Gateway FDP1760 (600:1), the another model has poor contrast (400:1).

If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Apple M9177LL isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to newer video cards.
