Acer AL2017bmd vs Acer AL1706AB lcd monitor comparison

Acer AL2017bmd have larger screen (20") than Acer AL1706AB (17"). Graphic professionals might find Acer AL2017bmd model with its 1400x1050 maximum screen resulution more preferable.

Both of compared monitors have decent pixel response times (8 ms).

Since AL2017bmd has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than AL1706AB which has luminance 270cd/m2. Contrast ratio is very good only on Acer AL2017bmd (600:1), the another model has poor contrast ratio (500:1). Horizontal angle is 150º on AL2017bmd and 140 ºon AL1706AB and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Vertical viewing angle is poor on both monitors (130º).

Only Acer AL2017bmd has DVI input which allows you to connect it to some new video cards.
