Acer AL2016W vs Acer AL1706AB lcd monitor comparison
We prefere 20.1 inch wide screen size at model AL2016W than 17 built at model AL1706AB. With its declared 1680x1050 maximum screen resolution Acer AL2016W monitor beats Acer AL1706AB with its 1280x1024. Both LCD monitors have good response times of their pixels (8ms). Only Acer AL2016W is able to produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2 luminance), Acer AL1706AB has brightness 270 cd/m2. AL2016W has good contrast ratio (600:1) but that is not the case with AL1706AB (500:1). Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (140º) for watching movies on them. These tft monitors are poor for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have vertical viewing angle of 130º. No model has DVI input so you cannot connect them to some new graphic cards.
