Acer AL2016W vs ViewSonic VA1912wb lcd monitor shopping comparison
We think that AL2016W has better screen with 20.1" inch size than VA1912wb with its 19" large screen. Maximum screen resulution on Acer AL2016W is 1680x1050, which might prefer graphic experts rather than 1440x900 on ViewSonic VA1912wb. Both TFT monitors are wide (16:10 is aspect ratio). Both of compared monitors have decent pixel response times (8 ms). With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these TFT monitors can provide very bright picture. Only Acer AL2016W has good contrast ratio (600:1). ViewSonic VA1912wb has contrast ratio of 500:1. These monitors are poor for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (VA1912wb has 160º and AL2016W has 140º). Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at VA1912wb and 130º at AL2016W) so they aren't confortable for watching movies. Presence of DVI allows you to connect ViewSonic VA1912wb with some newer graphic cards. More Information
